Lab testing
CBD Lab Testing: How CannaWize Reviews Certificates of Analysis
We do not test products. We read the documentation that sellers and laboratories publish, record what it does and does not show, and keep a product off the site until the record is complete.
What we record for each product
| Field | What we look for |
|---|---|
| Product and batch | Product name, size and batch or lot number match the container being sold. |
| Laboratory | Name of the lab, accreditation if stated, and whether it is independent of the brand. |
| Test date and method | Date of analysis and the analytical method used. |
| THC results | Delta-9 THC, THCA and total THC, reported with detection and quantitation limits. |
| Other cannabinoids | CBD and any other labeled cannabinoid, compared with the label claim. |
| Container-level amount | Milligrams per container, calculated only when the lab data supports it. Otherwise left blank. |
| Contaminants | Heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, microbes and mycotoxins, with limits. |
| Verification status | Who verified the report, on what date, and whether it matches the current lot. |
| Regulatory review date | When a person last read the federal and FDA position for the product type. |
| Shipping restrictions | States the retailer does not ship the product to, with source and date checked. |
What a reviewed report does not establish
- It does not show a product is legal in your state or under the federal hemp definition that applies after December 11, 2026.
- "Not detected" is limited by the method's detection limit. It is not proof of zero.
- It does not show FDA authorization. The FDA says CBD cannot be sold as a dietary supplement or added to food in interstate commerce.
- It describes one batch. Another lot can differ.
Official laboratory documentation
NuLeaf Naturals posts batch reports in its lab report library. This link goes to the retailer's own site and is not an affiliate link. When we reviewed the library page on October 28, 2026, it listed PDFs by product and batch ID and did not name a laboratory or method on the page itself. We have not matched current-lot reports to products, so every NuLeaf product is marked "lab results not reviewed by CannaWize" until a person completes that step.

Health and legal information: This page is educational and is not medical or legal advice. The FDA has not approved CBD products other than the prescription drug Epidiolex, and it says CBD cannot be sold as a dietary supplement or added to food in interstate commerce. Statements by manufacturers have not been evaluated by the FDA. Talk with a doctor or pharmacist before using CBD, especially if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are subject to drug testing. Shipping restrictions vary by product and destination, and laws are changing.
Frequently asked questions
Does CannaWize test products?
No. We review documentation that sellers and laboratories publish. We do not run our own tests.
Is a reviewed COA proof that a product is legal?
No. A certificate of analysis reports measurements for one batch. Whether a product meets federal or state law is a separate legal question that a person must review.
