CannaWize exists to make cannabis easier to understand without flattening uncertainty or repeating prohibition-era assumptions. The publication covers policy, research, patient access, affordability, product quality, cannabinoids, local rules, culture, and common myths for an adult audience.
Our Disclosed Viewpoint
CannaWize is edited by a former hemp store owner and is not viewpoint-neutral about stigma or blanket prohibition. We support fair, workable regulation; responsible adult access; evidence-supported medical use; affordable options; and honest treatment of hemp businesses that follow the rules. We oppose marketing to minors, false medical claims, contaminated products, deceptive labels, and policy that treats those specific problems as proof that every cannabis business or consumer is suspect.
This perspective does not determine the facts. Government claims, industry claims, advocacy claims, and product claims all receive the same source check. Official documents establish what an agency says or what a rule requires; they do not automatically establish that the policy is wise, effective, proportionate, or fairly enforced.
Primary Sources Come First
For law and policy, we prioritize statutes, regulations, court orders, agency guidance, official meeting records, and signed documents. A bill is identified as a bill until it becomes law. Proposed and final rules are not treated as interchangeable.
For research, we link to peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, clinical guidance, and public-health agencies. Articles identify important limits such as sample size, study design, dose, formulation, comparison group, and duration. A cell study, animal study, observational association, and randomized trial support different kinds of conclusions.
Health Coverage Has Boundaries
CannaWize does not diagnose, prescribe, or promise that cannabis treats a condition. Medical pages explain program access and published evidence while directing individualized questions to qualified clinicians. Evidence-supported uses, possible benefits, patient experience, risks, interactions, impairment, affordability, and evidence gaps belong in the story, not in fine print and not in scare copy.
Policy Coverage Is Dated and Jurisdiction-Specific
Cannabis rules change quickly. Policy articles should identify the jurisdiction, current status, effective date when known, and source used. Federal, state, tribal, and local rules are separated. A state permission is never presented as a universal federal right. Policy coverage also asks who bears the cost of a rule, whether compliant small businesses can follow it, whether patients and adults lose access, and whether a less restrictive approach could meet the same legitimate goal.
Reviews Separate Observation from Fact
A review should identify the product or batch when that information is available, explain the criteria used, and distinguish measured label information from the reviewer’s impressions. Individual effects are not universal. Free products, affiliate links, sponsorships, and other material relationships are disclosed.
Corrections
Factual corrections are made promptly after verification. A material update should change the page’s updated date and, when helpful, include a correction note explaining what changed. Spelling, formatting, and link repairs that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a formal note. The public Corrections Policy & Log explains how each category is handled.
Attribution and Quotations
Outside reporting is credited and linked. Direct quotations remain limited and contextual. CannaWize does not copy another publication’s structure or language merely because it covers the same subject. Images must have a lawful source and an accurate or deliberately empty alternative description.
Automation and Editorial Responsibility
CannaWize uses software tools for research organization, production, accessibility checks, structured-data validation, search organization, and quality control. A scheduled workflow may draft and publish a routine source-backed update only when preset sourcing, duplication, disclosure, rendering, and deployment checks pass. It must withhold publication when those safeguards fail. Automation cannot invent quotations, interviews, statistics, reactions, or documentary images, and it cannot label synthesis as exclusive or original reporting without genuinely new records, calculations, observations, or interviews. Commercial Separation
Revenue relationships do not determine a story’s conclusion. Sponsored material is labeled, affiliate relationships are disclosed, and companies cannot purchase the removal of a supported criticism. Full commercial standards appear on the disclosure page.
Reader Participation
Readers may submit a correction with the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. CannaWize reviews evidence, not pressure. Readers can also submit a news tip, report an accessibility problem, or ask a disclosure question.
