Corrections Policy & Log

Errors are corrected visibly, promptly, and in proportion to their effect on the story.

CannaWize distinguishes material corrections from clarifications, continuing-news updates, and silent copy repairs. The objective is to leave the reader with an accurate article and an honest account of changes that affected its meaning.

Material Corrections

A material factual error is corrected in the article and noted near the relevant text or at the end of the story. The note states what was wrong, what is correct, and when the change was made. The page’s modified timestamp is updated.

Clarifications and Updates

A clarification improves precision when the original statement was not necessarily false. A developing-story update adds a new court order, agency statement, dataset, response, or other material development. Updates retain the original publication date and receive an updated timestamp.

Copy Repairs

Spelling, punctuation, formatting, broken links, accessibility improvements, and duplicated template text may be repaired without a formal correction when they do not alter the reported meaning.

Public Log

July 30, 2026; Texas smokeable-hemp explainer

Update, not a correction: The July 25 explainer was updated with DSHS’s current July 31 enforcement position and a link to a separately published report. Repeated template text was removed as a copy repair. The original publication date remains visible.

No material factual corrections are currently recorded. This statement will be replaced or supplemented when a material correction is issued.

Request a Correction

Send the article URL, the exact statement at issue, why it is inaccurate, and the strongest supporting source available. CannaWize reviews evidence rather than demands for favorable treatment. A correction request does not guarantee a change.
