CannaWize may commission reporting, analysis, photography, data work, or expert commentary. Publication is based on reader value and editorial judgment, not payment for access, backlink demand, or a promise of favorable treatment.
Identity and Expertise
Contributors must use their real professional identity, provide a biography that supports the assignment, and disclose employers, clients, investments, advocacy roles, litigation, and commercial relationships relevant to the subject.
Sourcing
Factual claims must be traceable to documents, data, direct observation, or appropriately attributed sources. Contributors may not fabricate quotations, use anonymous sourcing without editorial approval, copy another publication’s reporting without credit, or describe a press release as independent reporting.
News, Analysis, and Commentary
Reported news, analysis, opinion, review, and sponsored material receive distinct labels. Commentary must accurately represent opposing evidence and disclose the author’s interests. Companies covered in a critical factual story should receive a reasonable opportunity to respond when time and circumstances allow.
Automation and AI
Automated tools may support research organization, transcription, drafting, accessibility, data analysis, and quality checks. Contributors remain responsible for verifying every submitted fact, citation, calculation, quotation, and image right. Synthetic quotations, invented interviews, deceptive photorealistic news images, and undisclosed automated fabrication are prohibited.
Editing and Corrections
CannaWize may fact-check, edit, shorten, retitle, update, or decline a submission. Contributors may verify their own quotations or technical details but may not promise sources broad prepublication approval. Contributors must cooperate promptly with supported correction requests.
Commercial Rules
CannaWize does not sell ordinary guest posts, followed backlinks, search rankings, or editorial conclusions. Sponsored material uses a separate agreement and conspicuous label. Editorial contributors may be compensated for work; payment does not exempt the work from these standards.
Pitching
A concise pitch should explain the public-interest question, what is new, the likely primary sources, the contributor’s expertise, and any conflict. Unsolicited completed articles are not guaranteed review or publication.
